Ajwain is very nutritious and is rich in fibre, antioxidants, and other vitamins and minerals. It is  associated with health benefits and is widely used in traditional Indian medicine practices as an anti-inflammatory and as a treatment for indigestion, high cholesterol and weight control. It has a pungent, bitter taste with aromas of thyme that works well with deep fried street foods.
